Hello I am trying to find the Baptism of my GG Grandmother SARAH ANNE GREAVES who was born around 1821 in Limehurst which I believe is on the border of Ashton-under-Lyne/Oldham. She first married HENRY LOWDEN FOWLER in March 1841. She must have separated from him in 1842 as she had a daughter ALICE ANN HAGUE in August 1843 to THOMAS HAGUE. In January 1846 HENRY LOWDEN FOWLER died and then in August 1846 SARAH ANNE married THOMAS HAGUE. Her father was RICHARD GREAVES who in 1841 was a Glassblower and in 1846 he was a Baker. It is the Unfilmed 1851 A-U-L Census that says SARAH ANNE was born in Limehurst. The 1861 Census just says A-U-L. SARAH ANNE HAGUE died in 1870 aged 49 and she is buried in St Michael's Churchyard. THOMAS HAGUE died in 1889 and is buried there also. St Michael's Church Ashton-under-Lyne was used for both Sarah Anne's marriages and also for their children's baptisms. I have searched St Michael's microfilms but some names were difficult to read, St Peter's & St Mary's Oldham, St Mary's Prestwich and St Leonard's Middleton and St Chad's Rochdale. Sarah's surname has been transcribed as "GREEN" on her marriage record to Thomas Hague in 1846. Does anyone know where else to look? Thanks Pat
PS 19 June 2016 I am still looking for the Baptism of Sarah Ann Greaves.
