I am trying to find out any information on my grt x 2 grandfather. His name was John Hall. He emigrated to Australia from Stalybridge sometime before 1874.
On his childrens birth certificates in NSW it shows his birth place as Stalybridge. There are also varying ages shown for him at the birth of each of his children. His age for two of the childrens births are consistent so I am thinking this date is the most accurate - 1826. His occupation is stated as carpenter.
If anyone could help point me in the right direction is searching for information it would be appreciated.
