Hello I have found a person I am interested in who has been buried at St Peter's Church, Ashton under Lyne. I found the information on Ancestry.co.uk The person is 80 yr old HANNAH GREAVES who was buried on 10 January 1867. The record on Ancestry.co.uk does not have a Grave Number. I am interested in finding out who else may be buried with her. I sent an email to the Church but have not had a reply. I think she is the Hannah Greaves who was previously living at Howard Court, Ashton under Lyne and had been living there from at least 1841 when she was a Widow. I have been unable to find who her husband was but she had a son JAMES who was born about 1831 and was living with her in 1841 & 1851 and I think he has married ANN WATERHOUSE in 1852. If it is her son his father was JAMES GREAVES. Would anyone be able to help. Thank you Regards Pat Berry in Australia

You can view the image of Hannah's burial at www.familysearch.org the film number is 2355762. However it doesn't give you any further information I'm afraid.

Hello Lindylou Thanks for your reply. That is the same record that is on Ancestry.co.uk. What is interesting though is the Curate's name W Ogden. Hannah was a living with a William Ogden in 1851 and 1861 Census. I will try Manchester Archives when they reopen on 22 March. Thanks Pat
